Additionally, 98 balconies will be added to existing ocean view staterooms.
Carnival cuts outlooks on discounting
Carnival Cruises has defied tough market conditions by posting a 10 percent rise in first quarter profits on lower oil costs and higher booking volumes. However the group, the world’s largest cruise ship operator, cut its full-year outlook because of sharp discounting to fill its ships.The Miami-based group, which has 11 brands, including P&O Cruises and Cunard Line, also lowered its guidance on net revenue yield - a key measure detailing the amount cruise companies make from their passengers after subtracting expenses.
Carnival Cruise lures early bookers
Carnival Cruise Lines is currently offering Early Saver rates providing savings of up to $200 per person on summer and fall cruises for those who plan ahead and book early.Early Saver rates are available up to three months prior to sailing date for cruises of five days or less and up to five months prior to sailing date for longer length voyages. The special fares include all stateroom types, including suites, and come with a rate protection feature if rates later drop below what the consumer originally paid.

Carnival UK has announced it is axing its Ocean Village line, which it set up five years ago to provide ‘cruises for people who don’t do cruises’. Its fleet of two ships will be redeployed in Australia under sister companies P&O Cruises and Cunard.
