car2go, the pioneer of ‘free-floating’ car sharing, has withdrawn from the UK. Taking the UK’s strong culture and tradition of private vehicle ownership into account, car2go made the decision earlier this month.
Seattle is fastest-growing U.S. car2go city with 500 vehicles
This month, car2go celebrates its first full year of point-to-point carsharing operations in Seattle. Since its launch in December 2012, more than 40,000 drivers have registered as car2go Seattle members and collectively share a network of 500 car2go edition smart fortwo vehicles, making Seattle the fastest growing car2go city in the United States.
car2go black: Carsharing with the three-pointed star
Daimler Mobility Services will soon be offering carsharing with the three-pointed star. Under the “car2go black” brand, Daimler Mobility Services GmbH will pilot a fully automated carsharing system with Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

car2go North America LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler North America, will launch its unique point-to-point carsharing model in Minneapolis on Sept. 14, making it the first Midwestern city to feature car2go. car2go and The Parking Spot: Airport parking made easy
On April 11, 2013, car2go North America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler North America Corporation, will debut a partnership in its corporate headquarters city of Austin, Texas, with The Parking Spot, the leading near-airport parking company in the United States. This new partnership will allow car2go members to park their car2go edition smart fortwo vehicles at The Parking Spot, located adjacent to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
