Brand USA links with British Airways for Megafam
Brand USA, together with British Airways and partner airline American Airlines, has confirmed the destinations and routes for the 2014 Megafam - the second multi-destination familiarisation tour. Taking place from May 15th–22nd, the fam trip is now sealed as an annual event in the Brand USA calendar for UK and Ireland-based agents.

The comprehensive overhaul began last year as part of a drive to provide travel agents with more tools and information so they could more easily sell the airline’s products and services.

British Airways Holidays is predicting January 6th will be bumper holiday Monday, the day when more summer holidays will be booked than any other time of the year. New research from British Airways Holidays found that a third of Brits claim not to have taken a holiday in 2013, with the average worker finishing the year with five days annual leave unused.
British Airways plane clips building in South Africa
A British Airways plane has clipped a building while preparing to take off from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Authorities said the aircraft had travelled along a taxi which was too narrow for the aircraft, with four injuries reported during the accident.

British Airways has opened its new lounge in Cape Town airport, which is double the size of the previous Terraces lounge. It is designed to emulate the style of the airline’s Galleries lounges at Terminal 5 while showcasing the best of British and South African style.

Customers travelling with British Airways through Terminal 5 have begun to test the personalised digital bag tag being developed by the airline. Employees from Microsoft have been chosen to take part in the month-long trial, using a specially adapted version of the British Airways app, to provide essential feedback that will help shape the final product.
