British Airways’ Seattle lounge has opened its doors following an extensive refurbishment, becoming the latest to offer an improved pre-flight customer experience. It joins Singapore, Washington, Lagos and London Gatwick, which have all been given a new look and feel over the last nine months, following lounge refreshes in Edinburgh, London Heathrow Terminal 5B and Heathrow Terminal 3 in 2023.
British Airways improves and extends its Bonus Tier Point offer
After teasing back in December that its new The Club loyalty programme would see more benefits announced to help boost its members’ earning power, British Airways has made good on its word, revealing a new ‘Bonus Tier Point’ offer. The offer will apply to bookings on flights with a BA code, made from now until December 31, 2025 for flights taken from April 1, 2025, allowing customers to earn up to an additional 550 Tier Points per flight.
British Airways moves to twice daily nonstop service to Austin
British Airways has increased nonstop flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) with a twice daily service, six days a week, starting on March 31, 2025. The route will be serviced by British Airway’s fleet of Boeing 787-10 aircraft that features a dual-aisle configuration and is the aircraft manufacturer’s most fuel-efficient aircraft to date. British Airways was the first airline to introduce Central Texas to nonstop flights to Europe with the launch of AUS’s first transatlantic flight in 2014.
Finnair expands British Airways codeshare to target more UK customers
Finnair has expanded its codeshare with oneworld alliance member, British Airways, as the Finnish airline continues to expand its reach in the UK and targets new customers in the Channel Islands and Gibraltar. The expanded agreement will see Finnair add its code to an additional seven of British Airways’ domestic routes, enabling customers to benefit from increased connectivity when travelling to Finland and beyond.

British Airways welcomes three new Italian routes to its network
British Airways has announced three new routes for summer 2025, bolstering its extensive network of Italian destinations. Launching in May 2025, British Airways will introduce new flights to Rimini (RMI) on the Adriatic Coast from London Heathrow, and Salerno (QSR) on the Amalfi Coast from London Gatwick. A new service from London City to Olbia (OLB) in Sardinia will complement existing flights from Heathrow.

British Airways opens applications for graduate and apprenticeship schemes 2024
British Airways has opened applications for 270 graduate and apprenticeship positions ranging from customer service to aircraft maintenance and digital, which is new for 2024. Successful applicants in the new Digital Graduate scheme will support British Airways’ £7bn transformation plan and will be part of the team leading on modernising and upgrading the business’s IT infrastructure to improve the customer digital experience.
