Argentina ministry of tourism targets European visitors
The Argentinian ministry of tourism, through the National Institute of Tourism Promotion, carried out an important commercial mission to Dublin, Ireland, and Edinburgh, Scotland, earlier. After participating in the World Travel Market in London, the INPROTUR team moved to Ireland and later to Scotland to continue promoting the Argentinian destinations in the European continent.
Marriott debuts Tribute brand in Latin America
Marriott International is debuting its aspirational independent hotels and resorts brand, Tribute Portfolio, in Latin America. By December 2016, the brand will add two independent hotels to its portfolio in Argentina’s most sought-after regions. Arelauquen Lodge, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, will be debut in Patagonia, near the world’s end, with vast landscapes of lakes and mountains, while Auberge du Vin, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, will be located in the heart of Argentina’s wine country.
Qatar Airways to boost capacity on South America routes
Qatar Airways will introduce additional capacity to its two South American gateways from December 1st, when the airline upgrades its existing aircraft operating on the route, a Boeing 777-200LR, to a Boeing 777-300ER. The upgrade to the Extended Range aircraft will provide an additional 99 seats per day from the airline’s capital in Doha to Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.

Argentina welcomes surge in international visitor numbers
The arrival of foreign tourists to Argentina via all means of transport increased 7.7 per cent in November 2014 compared with the same month last year, according to the latest official figures. The total number of visitors for the first 11 months of 2014 was 13.9 per cent higher than for the same period of 2013, finds Argentina’s National Institute for the Promotion of Tourism.
