Air Seychelles is proud to announce that it will be the Official Partner of the “Kolok,” the International Coloquium, as part of the upcoming activities for the Seychelles 2012 Festival Kreol.

Etihad Guest, Etihad Airways’ loyalty program, will expand to become a multi-airline program later this month it has been confirmed. The new development will see Seychelles Plus, the Air Seychelles frequent flyer program, becoming fully integrated into Etihad Guest’s loyalty platform. Etihad Airways is considered the World’s Leading Airline by the World Travel Awards.

Air Seychelles has announced details of its new direct flights from Mahé to Abu Dhabi. The news follows an announcement last week Etihad Airways, the UAE flag-carrier, would form a strategic partnership by taking a 40 per cent stake in the airline.

Air Seychelles has announced that it will be suspending its Singapore services as from November 24th, 2011. Simultaneously it will be identifying new routes to the Far East in co-operation with other airlines.

Air Seychelles has appointed eight Seychellois departmental deputy directors as part of its succession planning scheme and development process so as to ensure a more efficient management performance throughout all departments of the national airline.

The Seychelles Tourism Board has welcomed a statement by the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) acknowledging the government’s support for Air Seychelles in the face of financial difficulties and the call for other African governments to support their national airline.
