Jamaica hosts media appreciation evening at Expo 2020 Dubai
Jamaica Tourist Board has hosted an appreciation evening for Middle East-based media at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
A new of industry leaders from across the region were honoured for their role in promoting the destination during a celebratory event.
Graham Cooke, founder of the World Travel Awards, was presented with a unique trophy for his role in support the Caribbean destination over a career of more than three decades.
He was honoured with the prize by Jamaica minister of tourism, Edmund Bartlett.
Also present at the event were Kamina Johnson Smith, Jamaica minister of foreign affairs and trade, and Donovan White, director of tourism with the Jamaica Tourist Board.
Ambassador Alison Stone Roofe, under-secretary for multilateral affairs, JAMPRO president, Diane Edwards, and Jamaica pavilion director general Essie Gardner completed the group.
