Travelodge has opened its first hotel in Workington town centre, close to the railway station.

This is the town’s first branded budget hotel and the company’s ninth hotel in Cumbria, cementing Travelodge’s presence across all corners of the Lake District. 

Workington Travelodge a 78-room hotel represents a multi-million investment for third party investors and has created 15 new jobs within the community.

The hotel features an on-site restaurant called the Bar-Café, on-site car park and a range of family, double and accessible rooms – which start from £29.

Workington Travelodge has been designed in the company’s contemporary brand design.

It is the first new property to open following the Covid-19 shutdown.

In total the budget hotel chain operates 592 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain.
