Seventeen travel tech startups have been selected for the finals of the 2026 Global Startup Pitch. Now in its fifth year, the competition is jointly produced by WiT, Phocuswright and PhocusWire and seeks to unearth the brightest stars in early-stage travel tech. The Global Startup Pitch competition is supported by American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT), a Phocuswright Strategic Partner of Innovation.

Emirates, the world’s first Autism-Certified Airline, has launched its “Travel Rehearsal” programme in Madagascar, hosting its first session in the country’s Ivato International Airport (TNR). The Travel Rehearsal programme allows people with accessible travel requirements to experience a guided simulation of the complete air travel journey, familiarising them with airport procedures and onboard environments ahead of time – helping reduce anxiety and build confidence before an actual flight.
