Sales from the launch will help change children’s lives around the world, as part of Virgin Atlantic's ongoing partnership with Save the Children. Timed to the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana wearing the original on 20 November 1995, the replica crewneck sweatshirt blends British style, nostalgia and purpose. An initial first drop of 250 jumpers will be available exclusively via Virgin Atlantic’s Retail Therapy online store, operated by Tourvest.

Taking off from Dubai International Airport, the aircraft made its approach over the stadium at 4:30pm, gliding past at an altitude of just 500 feet and delighting thousands of fans gathered for the region’s biggest sports and entertainment festival. Commanding the flight was Captain Mubarak Al Mheiri, Deputy Chief Pilot Airbus, supported by Captain Khalid Bin Sultan, Captain Philippe Lombet, and Captain Nabil Al Rustamani.

British Airways expands its Heathrow network with two new short-haul destinations for summer 2026

British Airways is expanding its network with the launch of two new short-haul additions to its route map, including Tivat in Montenegro and Guernsey in the Channel Islands. The UK’s flag carrier will launch seasonal flights to Tivat from London Heathrow Terminal 3 on 14 May 2026, operating during the summer season. British Airways has also announced year-round flights to Guernsey, commencing on 19 April 2026.
