Yas Island to participate at SATTE 2014 in Delhi

Yas Island, the GCC’s favorite tourist destination, is set to participate at the upcoming SATTE, South Asia’s leading travel and tourism event, which will take place in Delhi from 29-31 January 2014. The event will provide the ideal platform to promote Yas Island among over 7,500 qualified buyers and trade visitors over three days.

In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (TCA), Yas Island will reach out to South Asia’s tour operators and travel agents in a bid to create awareness about its offerings and prospective opportunities. The vast participation of many major Indian and global players and the presence of the who’s who of the travel industry, is testimony to the importance the travel and tourism industry gives SATTE. SATTE is the biggest networking forum for the travel and tourism industry in South Asia.

Commenting on Yas Island’s participation Mr. Karim El Guanaini, Vice President of Yas Island Destination Management, said: “South Asia boasts tremendous opportunities for Yas Island and we consider it as one of our top priority markets as they represent our top five producers to Yas Island in both leisure and business volume. Events such as SATTE provide the platform to reach and connect with the industry players and decision makers hence it’s crucial to participate at events like this to create awareness about Yas Island and to share relevant news and updates on future plans.”

Yas Island has become a very appealing destination for weddings, business events and family leisure for the Indian market thanks to a number of factors including the close proximity, increased flight schedules and Yas Island’s flexible packages, suitable for the market. Yas Island has also ensured to cater for specific needs as the award winning restaurant, Angar, at Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi hotel, is renowned for bringing a taste of authentic India to Abu Dhabi, taking traditional Indian flavours and spices and giving them a modern twist.

Yas Island is situated only seven minutes from the Abu Dhabi International Airport which makes it an attractive and accessible destination for both leisure and business travelers. A selection of seven hotels can be found within one plaza, including the luxurious Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, a five star, iconic hotel - the only one in the world to straddle an F1 race track being breathtakingly built half on land and half over water.
