Wizz Air launches Wow Air rescue fares

Wizz Air has announced special fares for Wow Air customers whose flights between Reykjavík and London Stanstead or Gatwick were cancelled following the collapse of Icelandic carrier.

Affected Wow Air passengers can take advantage of a special fare with Wizz Air, which operates four flights per week from Reykjavík to London Luton for £74.99.

This rescue fare is valid for travel up to May 10th and is subject to availability on each flight.

Bookings can be made via Wizz Air’s special rescue fare site until April 7th.

Customers will need to provide evidence of their bookings with Wow Air for flights to any London airport.

Wizz Air has more than 525,000 seats on sale on its ten Reykjavík routes to six countries in 2019, which represents a 21 per cent year on year growth.

George Michalopoulos, Wizz Air chief commercial officer, said: “The number of seats available at this special rescue fare are limited, but our regular prices on our network of ten destinations from Reykjavík to six countries, including services to London Luton, Warsaw, Budapest Gdansk, Katowice and Vienna are low every day.”
