Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort on the West Coast of Scotland, has launched an innovative cure for a bad round of golf. The TaylorMade Performance Laboratory, the first and only of its kind in Scotland, opened its doors on 11th April with a new scientific approach to analysing golf, ‘slicing’ a few shots off a round.
A recent TaylorMade survey showed that around 60% of golfers play with non-fitted clubs. The state of the art service in the Performance Laboratory analyses a golfer’s swing via numerous scientific measurements and the data is used to create a bespoke set of clubs. The results deliver better golfers with longer drives and more accurate positioning.
The development adds to Turnberry’s historic credentials as one of the world’s greatest golfing experiences. The Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy, the first Links Academy in the World, provides a unique teaching school for all levels, delivering advice on teaching method, course management and personalised programmes specifically for Links golf, whilst the two challenging Championship Courses are regarded amongst the very best in the world.
A special introductory offer of £195 per person is currently available at Turnberry, to include a one hour TaylorMade Performance Lab session and individual club fitting, a 30 minute golf lesson and one sunset round on the championship Kintyre Course. Offer is valid for bookings between April 21st 2011 and September 30th 2011.
