Turkish Airlines signs codeshare deal with Hawaii Airlines

Turkish Airlines has signed a codeshare deal with Hawaiian Airlines, expanding options for customers to travel more conveniently from Turkey to Hawaii via Far East points.

The agreement allows Turkish Airlines to put its “TK” booking code on Hawaiian’s daily flights between Osaka, Japan and Honolulu and HA’s five-times weekly service between Honolulu and Seoul, Korea.

Turkish Airlines operates seven weekly flights between Istanbul and Osaka and eleven weekly flights between Istanbul and Seoul.

The agreement provides a seamless experience for customers travelling between the attractive and cultural city of Istanbul and the beautiful, exotic islands of Hawaii.

The announcement was made by TK and HA representatives at a ceremony in San Francisco, USA.

Ilker Aycı, chairman of Turkish Airlines stated: “At Turkish Airlines, we are extremely pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with Hawaiian Airlines.

“It will maximise the travel opportunities offered to our passengers across the networks of both airlines.”

Flights will be available for purchase following the necessary approvals from the respective countries’ civil aviation authorities.

Turkish and Hawaiian are also considering an extension of their codeshare agreement to include each carrier’s flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport.

“We look forward to welcoming more Turkish Airlines customers to enjoy our authentic Hawaiian hospitality, award-winning on-time performance and quality of service on their journey from Istanbul to our island home,” said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian Airlines chief executive.
