The Apprentice hopefuls treated to a taste of the high life in Jersey

The winning team from last night’s fiercely contested boardroom battle was whisked off in style to the island of Jersey for a day of gastronomic decadence as a reward for victory in the final task of the series.

In sharp contrast to the losing team, who faced a post mortem on their failure to win the task huddled over a cup of builder’s tea in the Bridge Cafe, Lord Sugar flew the successful team to Jersey by private jet for a stunning Michelin-starred gourmet experience.

Arriving at Jersey’s stylish new Business Terminal by private jet following a short flight from London, the three victors were taken down to the beach to taste Jersey oysters harvested from the crystal clear waters of the Royal Bay of Grouville.  Heading off to St Ouen’s Bay, the candidates met local fishermen bringing in the catch of the day to select fresh crab and lobster for their celebratory lunch.

On to The Atlantic Hotel for the highlight of their stay in Jersey – lunch at the hotel’s Michelin-starred Ocean Restaurant overlooking the dramatically beautiful St Ouen’s Bay and five mile stretch of sandy beach. Head Chef, Mark Jordan and his team created a sumptuous feast from the freshest local seafood and Jersey produce, accompanied by the finest champagnes and wines chosen by Head Sommelier, Sergio dos Santos.

As the sun set over the sparkling ocean, the candidates toasted victory and discussed their winning strategy.
