Sydney heat wave ends

A record-breaking heat wave in Sydney, Australia, has been replaced by cooler temperatures, according to reports.

Sydney began dealing with a heat wave dating back to the final day of January when the high temperature rose to 96 degrees. Since then the termperature has continued to rise to 90 degress.

This is the longest heat wave to hit Sidney since records began in 1858.

The hottest days according to records were on February 1 and February 5 when temperatures rose to 105 and 108 degrees, respectively.

The average temperature at this time of year in Sidney is 78 degrees.
