Sarasota Bradenton International Airport joins ICTP

The International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) announced that Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) in Florida has joined the alliance as an associate member.

ICTP Chairman Juergen T. Steinmetz said: “We are pleased to welcome our first airport to the growing list of members. Sarasota Bradenton International joins ICTP as an associate member, representing this region in Florida.”

There are many convenient and free services at SRQ. The airport provides 20 minutes of free parking in the short-term parking lot, which is directly in front of the terminal, and there is free Wi-Fi service throughout the terminal so passengers may check email, flight status, or just surf the web from the restaurants, gates, or waiting areas. There are a number of seating stations with electrical outlets to charge up a laptop, cell phones, iPads, or PDAs at no cost as well. The airport has flight-tracking screens strategically located so the live radar feed of all flights arriving and departing SRQ can easily be viewed so that one may know exactly where a flight is at any time.

The airport is rolling out some new customer amenities as well. There is a new mobile website available that contains the critical information needed, including airport schedules, flight status, live radar tracking, dining and shopping services, as well as other airport information right from a smart phone. The airport may also be followed on Facebook to learn what is happening at SRQ or to receive special offers from airline partners.
