The four-level project includes integrated customs facilities, a two-level roadway to separate arriving and departing traffic and energy efficient and environmentally conscious design that is anticipated to receive LEED certification. The project also includes an $8 million public art program.
Sacramento International Airport’s new Terminal B will be open for business with its first arrivals on Wed., Oct. 5 and the first departures and official grand opening on Oct. 6.
Wednesday night, October 5th after 9:30 p.m. all flights originally scheduled to arrive into Terminal B after 9:30pm, except JetBlue, United and AeroMexico, will arrive into the new Terminal B. JetBlue, United and AeroMexico passengers will arrive into the current Terminal B.
Thursday morning, October 6th at 4:00am, Sacramento International will hold the official ribbon cutting for the new Central Terminal B. Old Terminal B will cease operation and the majority of the airlines will be operating from new gates or terminals.
