Royal Caribbean ranked in top UK travel brands

Royal Caribbean International’s reputation as a leading force in product innovation has seen the cruise line ranked as one of the UK’s ‘travel brands of the decade’.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group (CIMTIG) praised the company’s market-leading infrastructure projects, such as the development of the world’s largest cruise ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, in a hotly contested award to find the top travel brands from 2001-2010.

Judges, including senior travel industry figures, said the prize was: “For their pioneering attitude and for their focus on innovation and development, which has not only seen them established as the perceived leaders in their product category, but also as catalysts for the transformation of that sector’s success in the past decade.”

Royal Caribbean International was ranked in third-place in the Travel Brand of the Decade award, presented at the annual CIMTIG travel marketing awards in London, joining EasyJet and Virgin Atlantic Airways among the prize winners.

Royal Caribbean International’s Jo Rzymowska, associate vice president & general manager UK & Ireland, said: “It is a real honour to have been placed among the very best travel companies.

“We have always believed that creating the very best holiday experience is at the heart of a successful business. Our ships are destinations in their own right – the scale, luxury and technical innovations have redefined cruising and that has revitalised the sector.”
