RateTiger simplifies eBay offering

Cultuzz Digital Media GmbH, specialist in online distribution and the world’s largest service provider for eBay hotel bookings, has partnered with RateTiger to offer hoteliers an easier update on eBay alongside other distribution outlets.

Cultuzz, via CultBay, is the only service provider worldwide that has implemented direct bookings for hotels on eBay.

The agreement makes RateTiger the first channel manager able to distribute inventory and rates to eBay via the CultBay platform.

“Hoteliers need to take advantage of both traditional online sales channels as well as exploring new opportunities to secure bookings and generate more revenue,” said Sascha Hausmann, chief executive, eRevMax.

“eBay is the largest ecommerce platform in the world and the opportunities for the travel industry are immense. Our connection will make updates seamless for hotels.”

eBay has become the largest international online marketplace with 14 per cent of global e-commerce and over 275 million users worldwide.

“Hotels have been using eBay successfully as a sales channel for a number of years now,” said Reinhard Vogel, Founder of Cultuzz.

“Selling rooms on eBay offers hotels access to a unique customer base and enables hoteliers to steer guests towards low seasons and periods of low occupancy.

“And, the beauty of it all, bookings on eBay are prepaid and non-refundable. The channel management connection with RateTiger will make the update and management process easier and help hotels maintain better rate strategies.”

eBay will become an additional channel within RateTiger to sell rooms and update rates and inventory as per the sales platform’s rules.

Cultuzz works with some of the world’s leading hoteliers on eBay including: Marriott, Renaissance, Hilton, Radisson Blu, Park Inn, Intercontinental, Choice Hotels International, Ramada Worldwide, Sol Melia, Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, Millennium.
