Qantas/BA appoint Narayan for Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia
Qantas and British Airways have appointed Sriram Narayan as manager for Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, replacing Neil Ager who moved to Australia as British Airways regional commercial manager for south-west Pacific.
Based in Thailand, Narayan will oversee both Qantas and British Airways for their key business strategies across Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, together with the operations at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Narayan has been working with British Airways for almost 22 years and has held various roles across India covering commercial sales and airports.
In his most recent roles he was responsible at the strategic level for the implementation of British Airways’ distribution structure, alliances with Kingfisher and Iberia, managing the general sales agent (GSA) relationships across South Asia, leading oneworld activity in South Asia and leading British Airways’ key niche markets.
Prior to his appointment he was commercial development & deputy commercial manager for south Asia of British Airways based in India.
Narayan is married with one daughter.
Presently, Qantas operates 14 flights weekly plus codeshare services with British Airways to and from Bangkok serving Sydney on the Southern route and London Heathrow on the Northern route.
