Pande takes up consultancy role with Burj Al Arab

Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Seema Pande in a consultancy capacity as director of sales at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.

Pande joins from The Address Hotels & Resorts where she was group director of sales and marketing for Emaar Hospitality Group overseeing The Address Hotels + Resorts, Armani Hotels and Resorts and Vida Hotels.

Her previous experience in Dubai includes roles at Emaar Hospitality Group; Al Manzil and Qamardeen hotels in Downtown and the Fairmont Dubai.

Throughout her career, she has gained a wealth of knowledge in key international markets and established a robust network of luxury agents.

In her new role, Pande will have oversight of the hotel’s sales effort and commercial strategy for a three month period, while the hotel completes its recruitment of a full-time director of sales.

She will work closely with the revenue and marketing departments to focus on the launch of North Deck at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, which will open to guests in the second quarter of 2016.

Alison Broadhead, chief commercial officer for Jumeirah Group, said: “We are delighted to have secured Seema for a fixed term period to assist us with this significant project.

“She brings so much good will and gravitas from her previous roles in Dubai and will be a tremendous asset to us as we prepare to launch the next phase of luxury and innovation in the form of the North Deck.”

The 10,000m2 private luxury deck will fan 100 metres out into the Arabian Gulf and accommodate 32 cabanas, 400 sun loungers, one fresh water pool measuring 612m2 and one salt water pool measuring 828m2, one restaurant and a bar.
