Opening of the Dorchester Hotel Dubai Delayed Until Next Year
The anticipated debut of The Lana, Dubai’s single hotel in the Dorchester Collection, has been pushed back even more.
Originally scheduled to debut in 2022, the launch date for this ultra-luxurious city hotel has been pushed back many times since it was first announced in 2021.
It seems that the latest rumoured launch date of February 2024 is legitimate, since the hotel is now taking reservations for that month.
According to Dorchester’s website for The Lana, before March 2022, the hotel would be launched as a beacon of opulence in the very heart of Dubai.
Later, the website was updated to say the hotel will be unveiled “by the end of 2022.” The website went through another update in August 2022, which resulted in the anticipated launch date being pushed out to spring 2023. The opening date was originally set for March 2023, then moved to September 2023, and then management announced it will open by the end of 2023.

When the hotel opens, it will provide 225 rooms and seven dining options to the area. It will be the chain’s first property in the Middle East and Asia and will follow in the footsteps of the Hotel Eden in Rome, The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, and The Dorchester in London that are renowned celebrity hangouts.
Starting at a whopping $1,390 per night (with applicable taxes and fees), this is undoubtedly one of the city’s most expensive accommodations.
The royal suite, which can welcome five people, is expected to cost more than $13,000 per night.
Omniyat, a significant local real estate developer and owner, has been tasked for the hotel’s construction and management. The company’s portfolio also includes premium apartments under the Dorchester Collection name, such as The Vela and independent developments on Palm Jumeirah.
