Oman Air launches new flights to Zurich, Switzerland

Oman Air has launched a new service between Muscat and Zurich, Switzerland.

The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman – nominated as the Middle East’s Leading Airline earlier this year by the World Travel Awards - now offers four flights a week between the two destinations.

Zurich is Oman Air’s 41 worldwide destination and its sixth in Europe.

Peter Hill, Oman Air’s chief executive, commented: “We are delighted to launch our new service between Oman’s capital of Muscat and Zurich.

“Zurich is one of the world’s great financial centres and an ideal gateway for the beautiful Alpine landscapes which are so ideal for both winter and summer sports.

“We anticipate that the route will prove extremely popular for visitors from Oman and other Gulf nations, as well as from further afield.

“Equally, the new service will offer the people of Switzerland the opportunity to visit Oman and to experience the unparalleled hospitality, rich culture and dramatic landscapes that are unique to the Sultanate.”

The new service will also offer Swiss travellers the opportunity to experience Oman Air’s luxurious new fleet of Airbus A330 widebody aircraft, which feature world’s first complete onboard connectivity service, which allows passengers to make phone calls, send SMSs, check email and surf the internet.
