New appointment for Travelzoo

Travelzoo has revealed that Mark Webb will become President, Travelzoo Local as of February 27, 2012.  Mr. Webb will lead Travelzoo Local in Europe and North America and report to Travelzoo’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Loughlin.  Michael Stitt, General Manager & Vice President, Travelzoo Local in North America and Melanie Bower, General Manager & Vice President, Travelzoo Local in Europe, will report to Mr. Webb.

Mr. Webb brings thirty years of blue chip sales leadership to Travelzoo Local.  Prior to joining Travelzoo, Mr. Webb served as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, the Americas for British Airways.  Before joining British Airways, Mr. Webb spent years in senior leadership roles at American Express, most recently as Senior Vice President, Head of Global Client Group, responsible for managing American Express’s top corporate client relationships.  During his time at American Express, Mr. Webb also served as Senior Vice President, Head of Establishment Services, EMEA, acting as General Manager in the region.

Mr. Webb holds an A.B. in Policy Studies with distinction from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.  Mr. Webb is fluent in German and French.  He will be based at Travelzoo’s Madison Avenue Worldwide Headquarters in New York City.
