MANDARIN ORIENTAL HYDE PARK, LONDON CELEBRATES THE RETURN OF HYDE PARK GARDEN FOR THE SUMMER SEASON
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London is delighted to announce the reopening of Hyde Park Garden for the summer season. Opening on 2 May 2025, London’s most fashionable al fresco dining spot will be ready to welcome visitors in time for the Early May Bank Holiday.
Nestled within the serene expanse of Hyde Park and in the privacy of the hotel’s garden, this exclusive dining destination offers a moment of tranquillity amid the bustle of the city. Diners can enjoy stunning views of London’s finest Royal Park while indulging in an exquisite menu crafted by the talented team at the hotel’s two Michelin star restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
This year, Hyde Park Garden will bring Heston’s customary take on ‘Chips and Fish’ to centre stage. A national favourite, and recognised globally as synonymous with Britain, fish and chips hold fond memories of summers spent at the beach, and trips to the local ‘chippy’ for many.
The team at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal will draw on their fascination with historic British gastronomy and honour the traditional chippy, taking it to new heights. Diners will indulge in Heston’s famed triple-cooked chips, whose cooking process achieves the perfect crunchy outside while maintaining a fluffy interior. Perfectly paired with the freshest Cornish catches, each encased in crispy batter, every portion will be served on bespoke Dinner by Heston Blumenthal ‘newspaper’.
Diners will also have the option to savour some of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal’s most celebrated signature dishes including the iconic Meat Fruit (c.1500) and the indulgent Tipsy Cake (c.1858) for dessert, bringing a touch of culinary history to every table.
To compliment the menu, Château d’Esclans, the vineyard behind Whispering Angel and the world class luxury rosé, Garrus, offers a curated wine list, showcasing some of their finest wines. Hailed as the as pioneers of the ‘Rosé Renaissance’, Château d’Esclans brings a taste of Provence to Hyde Park Garden, where each glass offers a taste of summer elegance that pairs perfectly as guests enjoy dining in this picturesque setting.
