Travel industry research authority Phocuswright, a division of Northstar Travel Group, has announced the appointment of Simon Lehmann as the brand’s president, effective November 1st, 2016.

Lehmann brings to Phocuswright 25 years of strategic and operating experience, expertise in travel and technology and a passion for moving the industry forward.

As president, he will build on the strength of Phocuswright’s premier research and events to foster growth and expand the brand’s global reach.

“Simon’s rich talent and deep experience will provide Phocuswright with the necessary leadership to continue to expand its global footprint as well as introduce new business information tools and data products,” said Bob Sullivan, president, Travel Group, Northstar Travel Group. 

“Simon is widely respected for his vision and accomplishments,” said Lorraine Sileo, senior vice president, research, Phocuswright.

“We are confident that he will continue to move our business forward with his fresh approach and bold ideas.”

Lehmann most recently served as chief executive of Biketec AG and Interhome AG.

He has also held executive roles at Swissport and Hotelplan Group.

He was a board member of Inntopia, HomeAway and Travel.ch.
