Hosted buyer program and education aims to attract organisers planning Asia events

Today, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) announces a partnership with CIBTM, the China Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (www.cibtm.com) to host qualified exhibition organisers at its event 2-4 September 2013, in Beijing, China and co-produce education content at the event.

IAEE President and CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA, said, “In an ongoing effort to embrace new partners in collaborative efforts, we are very excited to work with CIBTM on this strategic initiative and increase awareness about IAEE in Asia. Our priority is to provide new, global opportunities for our members so they can maximise their potential for success.”

To effectively engage attendees at CIBTM, IAEE will host education sessions in the show’s Learning Theatre, which will focus on expertise and best practices for the exhibitions and events industry. Attendees will have an additional chance to get a deeper understanding of the exhibitions and events industry when DuBois participates on an educational panel during the program.

IAEE, which was founded in 1928 to represent the interests of trade show and exhibition managers, represents over 8,300 individuals who conduct and support exhibitions around the world. More than 55 percent of its members are directly involved in the planning, management and production of exhibitions.

Jeffrey Xu, Reed Travel Exhibitions, Project Manager, CIBTM commented, “We are delighted to have partnered with the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, and we feel that this strategic partnership will help to drive CIBTM forward as China’s leading Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition. The education program is a key component of the show and it is vital that we continue to deliver cutting edge content which will support the business objectives and career development of all of our attendees.”
