Hangzhou Tourism has appointed travel PR and destination specialists McCluskey International as its European PR and representation office with a brief to implement the Chinese destination’s travel trade and public relation’s strategy in the UK, France and Germany throughout 2016.

McCluskey International has been briefed to start work on the account with immediate effect, with a key focus on raising the destination’s profile across all markets and in particular building relationships with key stakeholders within the travel trade.

Judy McCluskey, agency principal at McCluskey International, said, “We are delighted to be working with Hangzhou across three European markets.

“Hangzhou is the capital of China’s Zhejiang province and is both beautiful and historical - it really should be a must-visit destination during any trip to China for UK, French or German travellers.

“Hangzhou will soon be widely known for hosting this year’s G20 Summit, but I would argue that the destination has wide appeal for all types of traveller, from business travellers and corporates to the adventurous culture-seeking traveller.”
