Global Startup Pitch announces 10 winners for 2024 competition
The Global Startup Pitch, a joint initiative by Web in Travel (WiT) and Phocuswright, has unveiled the 10 winners hailed the most promising travel tech startups. These winners were selected from a pool of nearly 200 applicants, representing the best and brightest in travel innovation across four regions: APAC, Europe, North America, and Emerging Markets.
The competition, now in its third year, has been revamped for 2024 to recognize two categories – emerging (Seedup) and scaling (Scaleup) startups – fostering a dynamic environment where early-stage companies can compete alongside more established ventures. Two winners were selected for each category in each region, as well as one Wildcard for each category.

Seedups are classified as businesses under three years and which have raised no more than US$5m, while Scaleups are those that are three to eight years and which have raised no more than US$10m.

The winners will showcase their ideas at WiT Singapore in October.
Meet the Seedup Winners at WiT Singapore
On October 14th at WiT Singapore, attendees will have a unique opportunity to engage with the Seedup category winners from each region and the Wildcard category. Each winner will deliver a 5-minute presentation, followed by a 3-minute Q&A with a panel of industry experts. The audience will then vote for their favorite, with the “People’s Choice” winner being announced at the closing ceremony on October 16th. The People’s Choice winner will receive additional exposure at The Phocuswright Conference in Phoenix on November 19-21 and WiT Seoul on November 26-27.

The Global Startup Pitch is part of a broader commitment by Phocuswright and Web in Travel to nurture innovation within the travel industry. This commitment includes events and programs like WiT Bootcamps, Phocuswright’s Startup Program, PhocusWire’s Hot25 Travel Startups, and Phocuswright’s Launch pitch competition.
