Global buyers confirm demand for North American exhibitors at EIBTM

EIBTM, the global platform for the meeting and events industry, which is dedicated to driving the industry forward, has recently announced that 47% of Hosted Buyers who attended EIBTM 2012, placed business in North America as a direct result of their attendance at the show.

Graeme Barnett, Reed Travel Exhibitions, EIBTM Exhibition Director commented, “At EIBTM 2012 we welcomed 207 exhibitors from North America and have received some excellent feedback following their time at the show. This year we hope to welcome even more North American exhibitors and look forward to supporting them [to] achieve their international business objectives for the show.”

Kate Harth, Senior Vice President of Sales at Morgans Hotel Group, who exhibited at EIBTM 2012 commented, “EIBTM 2012 was absolutely fantastic, the sales people were thrilled with the response with actual leads coming out from the show and the interest in Morgans Hotel Group. We had back-to-back appointments at the show and the profiles were perfectly suited to our brand. The number of actual leads we received for our properties was tremendous and I don’t necessarily think you see that at many shows.”

Another EIBTM 2012 exhibitor, Luis Matta, CIG North America, said, “We are very happy with how the show has gone this year; it has been great, really busy and plenty of appointments. One of the best EIBTM’s ever, and we’ve been coming since Geneva. We have just signed for 2013 and look forward to another year at EIBTM.”

EIBTM provides exhibitors with a unique opportunity to conduct business face-to-face with global Hosted Buyers, who have undergone a strict application process to ensure that they have proven international purchasing budgets.
