As the 2011 Caribbean Marketplace gets underway in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association has announced that former senior Air Jamaica executive George deMercado has joined its heam.

The highly respected hospitality industry veteran will take over the strategic executive position, Manager of Membership Development, of the association of Caribbean trade professionals.

The appointment of one of the most well-considered executives in the hospitality and travel community is already being widely hailed across the industry.

deMercado, a national of Jamaica, has been extensively involved with the hotel and tourism association throughout the years.
