F&E Aerospace welcomes new CEO

F&E Aerospace, organisers of The Dubai Airshow new CEO - Sharief Fahmy is pictured entering the F&E Aerospace Chalet, D50, at the Paris Air Show where the Dubai Airshow team will be available for bookings and show enquiries all week. The Dubai Airshow takes place 17 to 21 November 2013 and is moving to a new purpose built home at Dubai World Central (DWC), located in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

Sharief completed a distinguished 23-year career in the United States Air Force (USAF), Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) and took on his new role at the beginning of this month. Sharief most recently served for five years at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi as an International Regional Area Strategist. In this role, he led the US government to their successful participation in the last two editions of the Dubai Airshow.

Sharief Fahmy spoke about becoming CEO of F&E Aerospace, saying: “I am really delighted to be joining and leading the F&E Aerospace team. It certainly is an exciting time as we approach the 13th edition of the Dubai Airshow - we are expecting record breaking numbers of trade attendees, so we are inviting them to register online from today, enabling faster access to the show. I look forward to welcoming all the Dubai Airshow exhibitors and attendees in our new home at Dubai World Central this November.”

Trade visitors can now register online to attend the November event at www.dubaiairshow.aero/register. This year’s Dubai Airshow is set to be the biggest yet, with up to 1,000 exhibitors expected and more than 60,000 attendees.

The Dubai Airshow is organised under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and in co-operation with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports and the UAE Armed Forces.
