The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will start accepting lottery applications for pavilions and events bookings from 13 January.

Lotteries for various domestic and Official Participant pavilions and events will be available. For example, April events that can be applied for include Ado’s Special Expo Opening Live Performance, the Jr. EXILE concert featuring THE RAMPAGE, FANTASTICS, BALLISTIK BOYZ, and PSYCHIC FEVER, and the opening programme Physical Twin Symphony.
Applications for the first lottery round will be open from three months before to two months before your date of visit.
There are a number of pavilions and events at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) that can be enjoyed without a reservation. There is also a system of same-day registration slots for pavilions and events, but visitors are encouraged to make use of advance bookings for pavilions and events to ensure a smoother visit with shorter waiting times.

At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan we have introduced a booking system for visiting dates and times and for pavilions and events. Once you have reserved a visit date and time, you can apply for advance bookings for pavilions and events.
There are three opportunities to book pavilions and events in advance: the “2-Month Advance Lottery”, the “7-Day Advance Lottery” and the “Available Slot Reservation (first-come, first-served).” After booking a visit date and time, you can apply for each of these opportunities. If you are successful in all three applications, you can visit the Expo with up to three slots reserved in advance. In addition to your pre-reserved slots, you can also use the same-day registration slots to make a reservation after entering the Expo site on the day of your visit.
　▷2-Month Advance Lottery: 3 to 2 months before your visit. Winners will be announced in order 2 months before your visit date.
　▷7-Day Advance Lottery: 1 month to 8 days before your visit. Winners will be announced in order 7 days before your visit date.
　▷Available Slot Reservation: 3 days to 9:00 on the day before your visit.
　▷Same-Day Registration: Registration available 10 minutes after entering the Expo site. The next slot will become available after viewing the pavilion/event that you registered for using a same-day registration slot.

*Note: Super Early Bird One-day Ticket holders and winners of the Super Early Bird Special Lottery held last October can book up to four slots in advance.

■ 2-Month Advance Lottery
　Eligibility: Ticket holders who have registered an Expo ID and reserved a visit date and time.　
　*If you only have a Ticket ID, please register for an Expo ID, then link your Ticket ID to your Expo ID and reserve a visit date and time. For more information, please refer to “About My Ticket” and the “Reservation and Lottery Guide” on the Ticket Information section of the official website.

How to apply: Log in to the EXPO2025 digital ticket site, go to the “My Tickets” menu and select “Apply for the same Reservation/Lottery for multiple tickets” and then select “Apply for lottery 2-months in advance”.

If you wish to change your application after making an application for multiple tickets, you must cancel the applications for all the tickets you wish to change, then apply again selecting multiple tickets.

■ Pavilion and Event Lotteries
Point 1 ▶ You can register up to your fifth choice in the lottery *Only one slot will be awarded.
In each lottery, you can select and apply for up to your fifth choice of pavilion/event. Of these, only one slot will be awarded by lottery.

Point 2 ▶ Some popular events can only be applied for in the “2-Month Advance Lottery”.
Some events that require advance booking, such as live performances by famous artists, are expected to receive a large number of applications. These events are only available to book via the “2-Month Advance Lottery”. Please check the official website and the ”EXPO 2025 Visitors”, the official app for information on how to apply for each event and make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to apply.

Point 3 ▶ How to increase your chances of winning
A large number of visitors are expected to apply for reservations to view pavilions and events on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, especially for slots in the morning until late afternoon. Some pavilions and events also have a limited number of available slots. Therefore, it is recommended to apply for up to five choices by combining different time slots and pavilions and events.
