Evian Resort at the Heart of the G7 Summit

Evian Resort at the Heart of the G7 Summit

From June 15th to 17th, Evian Resort and Hôtel Royal had the honor of welcoming Heads of State and official delegations gathered for the G7 Summit, at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron. This selection reflects the trust placed in Hôtel Royal’s expertise and its ability to meet the highest standards of hospitality, security, and discretion.

Over the course of three days, representatives from 18 nationalities came together under one roof: G7 members, European delegations, and several guest countries including Brazil, India, South Korea, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Ukraine, and Switzerland.
Behind this international event, the team at Evian Resort played an essential role. In total, 780 accredited team members contributed to the fluid organization of the Summit.

“Welcoming the world’s leaders is both an honor and a responsibility that our teams embraced with commitment and humility. Beyond the organization itself, what stands out most to me is the human quality of the team who helped make this gathering a seamless and serene experience for all delegations.” François Dussart, CEO of Evian Resort.
This achievement was also the culmination of a full year of preparation. During the ten months leading up to the Summit, more than 500 people were welcomed for preparatory meetings and site visits, while over 40 security inspections were conducted in coordination with various French government agencies. In just six days, the Conference Center was completely transformed, including the construction of a temporary structure on its terrace to host outdoor meetings and dining for Heads of State.
From June 15th to 17th, the resort’s food and beverage teams served more than 1,500 meals per day, including over 1,000 at Hôtel Royal alone. Around-the-clock à la carte dining was provided for Heads of State, both in their suites and in the private lounges dedicated to bilateral meetings. The culinary teams worked closely with the services of the French Presidency. For the table setting, official tableware from the Presidency of the French Republic was paired with Hôtel Royal’s historic silverware. Two delegations, from Kenya and India, traveled with their own chefs, who were welcomed and integrated into the Resort’s culinary brigades.

The 19 hectares of gardens surrounding Hôtel Royal provided a privileged setting for meetings and informal discussions. Between the pathways of the French-style gardens, the panoramic views over Lake Geneva, and the many spaces conducive to reflection, these grounds—maintained year-round by the resort’s gardening teams—hosted numerous bilateral exchanges alongside the official working sessions.
The event was also marked by several cultural highlights. A private concert held at La Source Vive concert hall brought together Renaud Capuçon, Yo-Yo Ma, Timothy Ridout, and Béatrice Rana. A local children’s choir, which had impressed Mrs. Macron during a preparatory visit, were also invited to perform during the evening.
For Evian Resort, hosting the G7 Summit will remain above all the memory of an exceptional collective effort and of the trust placed in a destination whose vocation has always been to bring together well-
being, hospitality, and openness to the world within a single environment. The event further reinforces Evian Resort’s position as a leading international destination for hosting major global events.
