EIBTM leads the way into the future

Building on its acclaimed international reputation for showcasing cutting edge technology solutions for event and meeting planners, EIBTM has attracted another year of great attendance from leading global suppliers of technological solutions for this years show in Fira Gran Via, Barcelona (29th November – 1st December.)

EIBTM, a Reed Travel Exhibitions event, has pioneered the use of technology in developing new show features, which will enhance the experience and business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers to the show.

The Technology Village @ EIBTM 2011 is one of the fastest growing areas of the show and over the past 4 years the number of companies exhibiting has increased by 25%. Exhibitors new to the show this year include PSideo SA, H82 medientechnik, Availpro, EventPlatform, myQaa, Vivien – Virtual Event Designer and GoomeoEvents.

Those returning to EIBTM this year include Poken, M Events: The future of conference IT-Services & M2A: AV and Streaming Services, Chance2Meet - Newtonstrand, Amiando - Online Event Planning, a2z, Inc., Eventresult, etouches and Ungerboeck Software and Sherpa Solutions.

The EIBTM Technology Watch - the most high profile and longest running technology recognition scheme for innovation in the meetings and events industry - has also received record-breaking levels of entry this year with 56 entries. EIBTM Technology Watch acts as a major opportunity for companies to demonstrate new and innovative technology solutions that have the capacity to make a real difference to the business of meeting and event planner’s.

New to the show this year - EIBTM have partnered with global meetings architecture consultants SyncPartners Ltd and Newtonstrand to create a Future Events Experience. This new live experience will provide an insight into how future conferences and meetings will be run and how social media technologies will re-shape attendees experiences.

In addition to this, EIBTM will be running a number of Technology Education sessions. The now famous Technology Hour will take place everyday in the Lecture Theatre on the show floor and topics will consider the relevance and impacts of various applications ranging from social media and mobile technology to Ipads and tablets. Each session is structured to evoke a range of debates and discussions throughout.
