Dubai is ‘must-visit’ destination of European travel industry

Dubai is still the destination of choice of the European travel market, according to the team of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, who returned from a successful participation in ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, held this month in Germany.

“Dubai winning the bid for Expo 2020 helped reinforce the interest of the German and UK markets to travel to the city and explore its diverse attractions,” said Mr. Mohammed Khoori, General Manager of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, part of A.A. Al Moosa Enterprises and pioneered the concept of hotel apartments in the region.

He added: “ITB was once again a successful event for us where appointments held on the first two days of the event with many of our key partners in the German and UK markets. Although we did not discover any potential new markets, there were some discussions from suppliers who are targeting niche markets.”

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments exhibited within the Dubai Department of Tourism Commerce & Marketing (DTCM) pavilion. The team spent the five days at ITB meeting with key partners to discuss the next winter season packages, received feedback on ways to improve business levels and promote Dubai as a destination.

Ms. Nives Deininger, Director of Sales, commented: “Some points discussed with our partners were the Tourism Dirham, next winter season rates and the increase in volume of business to Dubai versus other destinations. Dubai had a healthy growth and we want to sustain it.”

After the successful participation of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, the property already expressed its intention to participate in ITB 2015.
