DoubleTree by Hilton Celebrates National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day with Free Cookies

Calling all cookie lovers, in celebration of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day on Aug. 4, DoubleTree by Hilton is extending its signature warm welcome to everyone, from guests to the general public. On this delicious day, stop by DoubleTree by Hilton’s U.S. hotels to choose between a complimentary original warm chocolate chip cookie or the allergy-friendly version.

“Our chocolate chip cookie is a proud tradition, symbolizing the warm welcome and comfortable stay that the brand is known for,” said Shawn McAteer, brand leader, DoubleTree by Hilton. “We are excited to share our signature welcoming gesture beyond our guests to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day this year, synonymous with the caring hospitality guests receive with every visit.”

The DoubleTree Cookie debuted in 1986 and has since grown to become a beloved part of the guest experience, earning a passionate following around the globe. The brand continues to innovate and elevate its warm welcome to an array of audiences including bakers, astronauts, and travelers alike. Every year, more than 20 million of the original DoubleTree by Hilton cookies are enjoyed around the world.
In 2019, the DoubleTree cookie made aerospace history when it was baked in orbit aboard the International Space Station during experiments aimed at making space travel more hospitable. This spring, representing the brand’s commitment to warm and caring service anywhere in the universe, the first-ever food baked in space, the DoubleTree cookie, landed on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia.

In 2023, on National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, DoubleTree by Hilton introduced an allergy-friendly version of the chocolate chip cookie to extend the brand’s signature welcome to even more guests. Served as an option alongside the original at check-in, the soft-baked allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookie is made in collaboration with Partake Foods, in a dedicated top nine allergen-free facility and is gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan.

For those unable to visit one of the nearly 400 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels across the U.S. this National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, brand’s official recipe cookie recipe is readily available for at-home bakers to create the warm and comforting treat in their own kitchen.
