Daniela Wagner takes up European leadership role with PATA

The Pacific Asia Travel Association has appointed Daniela Wagner as PATA European Coordinator.

Martin Craigs, PATA chief executive said: “I am delighted to welcome Ms Daniela Wagner to the PATA family. Her long and relevant career experience will add value as we build the PATA brand in Europe. Daniela’s work is highly acclaimed among our aligned advocacy partners.

“Her organisational skills were well proven at the Global Tourism Economy Forum in Macau last year and at the PATA Aligned Advocacy Dinner at the House of Commons in London.”

Wagner, a dual UK/German national, speaks fluent English, French and German and has a working knowledge of Italian and Dutch.

She is very familiar with the travel industry and associations.

From 1998 to 2003 she was vice-president, corporate affairs for the World Travel & Tourism Council.

For seven years in the 1990s she was executive director of European Tour Operators Association.

She has also been Global Managing Director for OctopusTravel and chief executive of the Cendant/TravelPort B2C Business Group.

In 2008 she co-founded eWaterways, an online aggregator of niche cruise products.
