CTMA Has a New General Manager

CTMA Group, who operates a one week cruise on the St-Lawrence river for 400 passengers between June and October, just named a new General Manager. M. Emmanuel Aucoin, who is only 33 years of age, holds a Business Administrative Degree from Laval University, a Commercial Credit Certificate from the University of Quebec and a Master Degree in Management from Laval University. He has worked as a Business Counselor for a Caisse Populaire Desjardins, as a General Manager for a Grocery store and as Director of Marine Operations for CTMA Group until August 2009, when he was appointed General Manager on an interim basis. M. Aucoin succeeds M. Gerard Leblanc who retired after 34 years of loyal services.
M. Aucoin becomes the new head of the largest business on Les Iles de la Madeleine. CTMA Group employs 425 people and is primarily in the transportation business, operating a fleet of trucks and several ships, one of them the cruise ship M.V. CTMA Vacancier.
The CTMA cruise originates in Montreal and sails every Friday to Les Iles de la Madeleine where there is a three days stopover. On the way back, there is a stopover in the Gaspesie peninsula and one in Quebec City before returning to Montreal. Several Theme Cruises are offered, namely two Gastronomic Cruises, three Musical Cruises, one Lobster & Maritime History Cruise and one Bird Watching & Photography Cruise.
