Conferma expands offering to enable corporates and TMCs to settle and track low cost carrier booking

Conferma, the expert in travel and expense booking, reconciliation and settlement solutions, has announced today that it has expanded its portfolio to offer corporates and their TMCs the ability to book, reconcile and settle low cost carrier transactions.

Regardless of whether a TMC books a low cost carrier ticket through the GDS, the airlines own web-site or any other booking platform, Conferma’s settlement technology provides corporates and their TMCs with a centralised settlement and reconcilliation service.

In association with its payment partners, Conferma creates a virtual card which corporates and their TMCs can use to pay and settle low cost carrier bookings in a secure environment as and when they are needed.

In addition, Conferma provides accurate and powerful matching data which includes booking, itinerary and payment data which provides a full audit trail right down to specific fields such as client cost centres.

Based on open-standards Conferma’s offering is available as an independent API (application programming interface) and can support any programming language and work with existing infrastructure and booking systems.

Simon Barker, CEO, Conferma, commented: “Corporates have told us they want a more controlled and streamlined process as well as a better audit trail on their low cost carrier spend so, with a proven track record in the hotel sector, we are now pioneering T&E virtual reconciliation and settlement technology in the low cost carrier field.  This is part of a planned roll-out of Conferma’s offering to other areas such as car rental, rail and other areas of corporate spend.”

Conferma provides the travel industry’s only truly supplier-independent settlement technology and to date has signed agreements with payment partners, American Express, Barclaycard and AirPlus,
