Chiswick Moran Hotel announces new General Manager

The Chiswick Moran Hotel has announced the appointment of Josh Cameron as the property’s new General Manager. Josh has been selected for this position, following ten years dedicated service within the Moran Hotels group.

Josh moved to London from Sydney in 2001 and began his career at Moran Hotels as a barman working in the Crown in Cricklewood. A promotion to Assistant Bar Manager followed, and then shortly after the opening of the Crown Moran Hotel in 2004, Josh become Duty Manager. In 2006, Josh became Front Office Manager, where he remained until his promotion and move to Chiswick as General Manager.

“This is a very exciting move for me,” says Josh Cameron. “I look forward to strengthening the position of the Chiswick Moran Hotel as one of London’s most stylish and progressive hotels. Our location in charming West London is ideal for business guests and leisure visitors alike, and I look forward to welcoming new and returning guests into this sophisticated hotel.”

In Australia, Josh worked as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, University Lecturer and Manager at an animal wildlife park, where he dealt with tour group bookings and management of the F&B and sales departments. Josh was educated to Master’s degree level at Macquarie University, where he studied music.

The former General Manager of the Chiswick Moran Hotel, Ben Lawrence, has left to take up the position of General Manager at Bewley’s Hotel Leeds. As Bewley’s Hotels is a sister company to Moran Hotels, Ben will be staying in the family. Ben was with the Chiswick Moran Hotel for three years and has worked for the group for a total of seven years.

The 123-room hotel, bar and restaurant is a haven of retro chic and Los Angeles glamour in a leafy, riverside neighbourhood. Guests will enjoy the quiet position on tree-lined Chiswick High Road, which affords them an air of peace and tranquillity that they won’t find in central London, yet the hotel is only 20 minutes from the centre of the capital and Heathrow Airport.

Regarded as one of the finest four-star hotels in West London, the Chiswick Moran Hotel offers an array of services, including luxury accommodation, a first-rate leisure centre, high-tech conference facilities and a dedicated events team. The hotel is also home to ‘Napa’ and ‘The Globe Bar’, both exquisite dining and drinking establishments.
