Car hire price comparison website Carrentals.co.uk has launched a new app for UK iPhone users, enabling customers to compare prices and availability from up to 50 suppliers in over 15,000 locations worldwide.

The news comes at Apple prepares to launch the hotly anticipated iPhone 5 later today.

With over 650,000 rentals to date, Carrentals.co.uk designed the app to make it easy for travellers to search, check availability and book car hire from an iPhone. 

Allowing customers to access all available vehicle categories, the app provides the widest choice of rental prices to customers.

Once the booking has been made, the reference number is sent straight to the mobile phone and the rental voucher is sent via email, ensuring customers have all of their reservation details quickly and easily. 

Customers are also able to access customer services to check reservations and make cancellations through the iPhone app.
