Carlson Hotels appoints Frederic Deschamps as Vice President of Global Revenue Optimization

Carlson Hotels, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has appointed Frederic Deschamps as vice president of global revenue optimization. Deschamps and his team are responsible for revenue optimization both on a global scale and for The Americas. In his new role, Deschamps will oversee revenue optimization, focusing on the effectiveness of Carlson Hotels’ industry-leading tools and programs to drive greater revenues and market share.

His responsibilities will include hotel pricing strategies, demand forecasting, program development, and hotel revenue optimization support. Strategic pricing and revenue management play a central role in elevating the Carlson hotel brands and are especially critical as markets are starting to rebound with the improving economy.

Deschamps will report to Fredrik Korallus, executive vice president, responsible for revenue generation for Carlson Hotels, both globally and for The Americas.

“We are pleased to have Fred join the global Carlson Hotels team,” said Korallus. “Fred’s extensive background and global revenue management experience make him the ideal candidate to take our revenue optimization strategies forward with a focus on the deployment of global best practice solutions and the leadership of our revenue optimization support teams.”

Deschamps’ appointment supports Carlson Hotels’ Ambition 2015 growth strategy, the company’s initiative to expand its portfolio to more than 1,500 hotels around the world by 2015. Korallus noted that a key priority of the strategy focuses on revenue generation, which involves growth in international sales; growth in revenue generated by the company’s brand websites; expansion and strengthening of goldpoints plus(SM), Carlson Hotels’ global loyalty program; and the deployment of Carlson Hotels’ best practice revenue optimization capabilities.
