BVI Airways announces ticket sales have begun: First flight May 5th

Tortola based BVI Airways has announced that final preparations have been completed and that online ticket sales have begun via its reservations website, www.goBVI.com.  BVI Airways’ inaugural flight is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5th.

The airline is beginning operations with a schedule that will allow it to rapidly increase service to meet market demand.  BVI Airways will initially offer the following service:

  * Between Tortola and Antigua on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  * Between Tortola and St. Maarten on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays
  * Between Dominica and St. Maarten on Fridays and Sundays

“It’s been a long road, but we’re finally here.”, said BVAirways, Inc. Chief Operating Officer, Scott DeLacy.  “The entire BVI Airways team couldn’t be more excited to get into the air and start bringing the locally focused scheduled air service everyone deserves.”

BVAirways, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, Luke Smith commented, “This is the culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work - preparation to bring the safest, most reliable service possible to the islands.”  Mr. Smith continued, “May 5th is only the beginning;  there are many more great things to come.”
