kicks off an Internet fare sale to 11 top ski destinations
for customers who purchase their tickets at
www.ual.com. Discounts of up to 30 percent off
United’s 21-day advance purchase fares are available on
selected itineraries to and from Beaver Creek,
Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Cortez, Durango,
Gunnison, Hayden/Steamboat Springs, Jackson Hole,
Keystone, Montrose and Telluride *.
All itineraries require a 14-day advance purchase and a
Saturday night stay. Tickets must be purchased by
Saturday, March 18, 2000, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific
Standard Time. The last day for return travel is April 2.
Fares are valid for travel Monday through Thursday only.
The sale prices are available exclusively at www.ual.com
by clicking “Create Itinerary” on the home page. The
discounted fare quotes are marked with a star, making it
easy to see how the Internet fare compares to other
available fares.
Sample round-trip fares include Washington
Dulles/National-Hayden/Steamboat Springs $4081; Los
Angeles-Jackson Hole $3252; Chicago-Telluride
$3771-2; and New York LaGuardia-Durango $4381-2.
Flights are operated by United Airlines, United Shuttle
and United Express partners, with some connections by
the United Ground Link® van service(R).
Seats are limited and available only on a round-trip basis.
Tickets are nonrefundable and require immediate
purchase by credit card when reservations are made.
Fares displayed do not include Passenger Facilities
Charges of up to $12, which may be imposed depending
on itinerary, or a $2.50 tax per flight segment. A flight
segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. Flights
displayed include a fuel surcharge of $10 each way.
In addition to special Internet offers like the current sale
and E-Fares?’ posted on a weekly basis for last-minute
discount travel, United’s ual.com site gives consumers
the ability to purchase travel with over 500 airlines;
register to receive weekly e-mail notification of
discounted E-Fares; and register for a new flight paging
service that advises travelers of delays and cancellations
on United flights via e-mail, text-enabled cellular phone
or alphanumeric pager. Also, United’s frequent flyers can
use the site to track Mileage Plus account information,
request upgrades and redeem miles for award travel
online.
