Two of Dallas’ Most Prestigious Hotels Sign with Pegasus Solutions for Travel Agent Commission Proce

Pegasus Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PEGS) today announced that Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ Mansion on Turtle Creek and Hotel Crescent Court have outsourced their travel agency commission processing to Pegasus Commission Processing. In June 2000, Pegasus is scheduled to begin processing commissions for the world-renowned Dallas hotels, both operated by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions is a leading provider of hotel industry transaction processing and electronic commerce services and offers the travel industry’s leading travel agent commission processing service.

Both recognized on Condé Nast Traveler’s “The Americas 2000 Gold List: Best Places in the World to Stay,” The Mansion and The Crescent claim extraordinary service as the hallmark of their success. “Selecting Pegasus to automate and facilitate our travel agent commission payments was a natural decision. Pegasus is the only company that can provide the high level of service expected by hotels whose impeccable reputations are based on consistently delivering outstanding service,” said Ray Jacobi, vice president of hotel operations in North America for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. “Beginning in June, our travel agent partners worldwide can enjoy receiving commissions from two of the world’s most well-known hotels in one consolidated payment and statement along with those from the other hotels around the world that participate in the Pegasus Commission Processing service.”

Under the agreement, on a monthly basis, Pegasus will collect from The Crescent and The Mansion the actual guest stay information related to hotel bookings made by travel agents. After consolidating the two hotels’ information and commission payments with that of other Pegasus participating hotels, Pegasus will send a consolidated commission payment to its member travel agencies worldwide. The more than 90,000 travel agency locations subscribing to Pegasus’ service also will receive detailed reporting of actual guest stays, cancellations and “no shows” and can elect to receive total automated commission management through Pegasus’ reconciliation and tracking service.

According to Jeff Bzdawka, senior vice president of Pegasus Commission Processing, the additions of The Mansion on Turtle Creek and Hotel Crescent Court reflect the flexibility of the Pegasus service in addressing the needs of hotels regardless of chain affiliation or independent status. “When you think of our global commission processing service, you probably think of major hotel chains that have come to Pegasus to centralize and enhance their travel agent commission process. This desire for efficiency and improved relations with travel partners is not restricted to big chains. Independent properties and small chains require this level of service too. We offer a cost-effective, simple-to-implement solution to meet the needs of hotels of all sizes,” Bzdawka said.

In addition to subscribing to Pegasus’ commission service, The Mansion and The Crescent also participate in Pegasus’ Online Distribution Database, enabling them to be available for real-time bookings on any of the sites that are part of Pegasus’ Online Distribution Network, such as TravelWeb.com and Expedia.com. Travel agents can book both hotels at TravelWeb.com (www.travelweb.com) and receive their full commission on guest stays.
