InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s leading global hotel company, has named Judy Silcox key account director for Government Transient business within its Global Sales organization.

Based in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Silcox will have responsibility for developing business in the transient and Cost Reimbursable Contractor (CRC) markets from government agencies and government travel agencies.
Silcox’s 30-year travel industry career has been focused in the government market. She was most recently with Volt Technical Services, a subcontractor to Northrup Grumman for the Defense Travel System contract. Her responsibilities included supporting the Commercial Travel Office (CTO) infrastructure to meet the needs of civilian government travelers.
She also held sales and management positions within various divisions of SatoTravel in Arlington, VA, during her 14 years with the company, including the Navy Contract Services division.

Silcox is a Certified Travel Consultant (CTC) and a member of the National Defense Transportation Association and the Society of Government Travel Professionals.
