Lee Chipman Appointed at Los Cabos

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., May 12, 2003 - Lee Chipman has been named general manager of the 375-room Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort. Chipman most recently served as general manager of the Hilton Anchorage in Alaska, a position he has held since 2001. He reports to Leonel Vasquez, managing director brand management & performance.

Chipman began his hospitality career in 1985 with the Hyatt Regency Phoenix in Arizona where he held several positions in the food & beverage department. He joined the Hilton family in 1989 as executive assistant manager of the Hilton Anaheim. In 1991, he transferred to the Hilton New Orleans Riverside to serve as resident manager and was promoted to general manager of the Hilton Phoenix Suites in 1995. Chipman held the same position with the Hilton Boston Back Bay from 1999 - 2001 and his most recent post at the Hilton Anchorage.

A native of Scottsdale, Arizona, Chipman received a bachelor of science in business administration from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort opened its doors February 4, 2002. The property is set on the beautiful Sea of Cortez at the southern tip of Baja California Sur. Each of the hotel`s upscale suites and rooms look out on this buena vista, as do its superb restaurants, bars and expansive pool patio. There is also a 7,500-sq.-ft. spa, one of the finest facilities of its kind in all of Mexico.
