Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport Offers Wireless

Building on the need for meeting attendees and business travelers to easily access the Internet, the Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport announces new high-speed wired and wireless Internet connections throughout the property`s meeting and public spaces.

Provided and managed by Sprint, the new service offers endless options for high-tech meetings and allows attendees to stay connected to home and office while on the road.
“We are one of only three Pittsburgh hotels offering high-speed Internet services, and the only hotel offering wireless connections, allowing us to customize communication needs and creating a distinguished edge over our competition,” said Edward Brogan, general manager. “This new technology gives the hotel a much-needed competitive advantage, allowing us to offer meeting planners and travelers the additional benefit of high-speed, real-time connections from virtually anywhere within the hotel.”

Wired access in the hotel`s meeting spaces and guestrooms have convenient outlets for laptop computers and PDA`s, while wireless access in the common areas and meeting spaces, allows meeting planners to use the best possible layout and space within a room without worrying about running floor cables or being near wall-outlet connections
Using infrastructure supplied by Cisco Systems, Sprint InSite(SM) High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA) provides secure Internet connectivity at speeds up to 50 times faster than dial-up connections. Sprint also provides marketing collateral to meeting attendees and guests explaining the service, as well as a 24-hour help desk.

The new wired/wireless connections enhance other free communications services offered to Wyndham guests and meeting attendees, such as Wyndham`s offer of free local long-distance phone calls(1), high-speed Internet access, faxes and copies to members of its guest recognition program, Wyndham ByRequest(R).

Located just 10 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown, the 314-room Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport is at the center of business and cultural activity. More than 12,000 square feet of meeting space includes the 4,840-square-foot Grand Ballroom with five flexible breakout rooms and capable of accommodating groups of up to 400, and the 2,800-square-foot Three Rivers Ballroom which transforms into three conference rooms accommodating more than 90 guests each.
